Marilyn's Strawberry Pie

Ingredients:
3 oz. Pkg. Jello
1/2 cup boiling water
Ice Cubes 3 cups
8 ounces Cool whip
1 cup diced fresh strawberries
8 or 9" graham cracker pie crust


Preparation:
Dissolve Jell-O in boiling water, stirring about 3 min., add ice cubes, stir until thickened (2-3 minutes). Remove any unmelted ice. Using wire whip, blend in whipped topping, then whip until smooth. Fold in fruit, chill if necessary until mixture will mound. Spoon into pie crust & chill 3 hours. For strawberries, may substitute: fresh peaches, apricots, raspberries, blueberries, orange sections, bananas, or 1 can (8-¾ oz.) apricots or sliced peaches, drained and diced, 1 can crushed pineapple, drained, 1 can fruit cocktail, 8-¾ oz, drained)


Turkey in a Bag

Ingredients

1 turkey
4 Tablespoons paprika 
2 Tablespoons warm water
1 cup peanut oil

Instructions:  Wash and thaw turkey.  Salt well (inside).  Mix 4 T. paprika w/ 2 T. warm water.  Mix into 1 c. peanut oil.  Massage turkey w/oil and place in large brown bag which has been generously oiled inside.  Cook in paper bag (which has been tightly sealed) 10 min. per pound at 325o for un-stuffed turkey.  Stuffed turkey - 12 min/lb.
